BORD na ÓG ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: Blackrock Bord na nÓg AGM takes place on Wednesday next 29th. January at 8pm in Teach na Cille. All are welcome and please let Sarah know by DM if you wish to nominate anyone for the position of Vice Chairperson or Assistant Secretary. Current positions remain if no objections or further nominations. We encourage all up and coming new coaches, referee enthusiasts and match volunteers to come along. LONG PUCK COMPETITON: The Blackrock GAA Club Annual Long Puck Competition will be held on Sunday February 2nd. commencing at 2pm from Murrin’s Cross to Ardpatrick. 10 per person Under 10s free. Refreshments to follow in Spruce and Willow.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP 2025:
Blackrock GAA Club Membership for 2025 is now available to pay on Foireann. Please note for persons who do not have access to Foireann, we will hold an evening in both Ardpatrick and Kilfinane in the next week or so where members will be able to pay in cash. Details of date to follow.
NOTE: Social membership only allows access to the walking track, and not be entered into draws for inter county match's and will not have voting rights at club meetings.
Closing date for membership is strictly 31st March 2025.

REUNION: Members of the Blackrock Minor Hurling team and management of 1999 gathered on Monday night December 30th at McGrath’s Bar for a reunion of the South and County Minor Hurling Championship win 25 years ago, recalling the great success and watching the video of the county victory.
The County final Blackrock team and scorers: Michael Heffernan, Alan Kelly, Damien O’Connell (Capt), Niall O’Riordan, Thomas Clifford, Brendan Hennessy, Edward Douglas, Ger Quane, Richard Murphy (1.04), James O’Brien (0.01), Michael Roche, David Douglas, Brian O’Shaughnessy (1.00) Eric Fitzparick (2.00), Thomas McCarthy. Subs, Gerard Sheehy for Edward Douglas, other panel members were Colin Hanley, Aonghus Leane, Niall Fitzpatrick and Alan Hanley who was injured during the year. Team Management : Pat McGrath (Manager) Denis O’Dea, David Quilty and Thomas Gleeson.
There were great scenes of jublilation when Michael Fitzgerald Treasurer Limerick County GAA presented the Cup to Blackrock Captain Damien O’Connell. It was Blackrock’s seventh championship outing and a very fitting result for the Club, Players, Management and Supporters.

1999 was indeed a great year for Blackrock winning Nine Titles, Six 6 South and Three County - : South Under 12 Hurling Championship (Bruree), South Under 11 Ground Hurling Championship Bruree), South Under 14 Football Shield (Bruree), County Under 11 Ground Hurling Championship (Doon), South Minor ‘B’ Hurling Championship (Hospital/Herbertstown), South Under 16 Hurling Championship, Replay (Castletown/Ballyagran), County Minor ‘B’ Hurling Championship (St. Kieran’s), South Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship (Effin) and County Under 16 Football Shield (Ballylanders). In 1999 Blackrock played a total of 152 games from Under 11 to Junior level in both codes.
