8th March

This week we lost one of our longest serving members of the Club. Donie O Sullivan was a player, an officer, caretaker of the field for many years, lotto promotor until very recently and our Club President.  Donie never missed a match or a meeting and maintained a keen interest in the club, recently watching his nephews and grandsons take to the field. He would be the first person to greet you at the gate when doing the gates for the South Bord, always with a smile and a chat.  Predeceased by his beloved Kathleen he will be sadly missed by a large family of O’Sullivans and Kennedys.  We extend our sincere sympathy to Donie Jnr, Marie, Tommy, Jose and Brid, daughters and sons in law, grandchildren, and great grandchild, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, cousins, the extended O’Sullivan families, many relatives and friends.

UL freshers; Sean O’Neill was on the team with UL freshers who lost to NUIG in the All Ireland final.
